Easter Eggs with Gel Food Coloring

If you’re like me, then every Easter weekend you run to the nearest store and spend a few dollars for an Easter egg dye kit. Everyone knows those little tablets that dissolve in vinegar.

This year I decided to nix buying the kit in favor of using food coloring already in my cupboard. It’s so simple. Just mix together 1/2 cup hot water, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of gel color. Since you’re in control, you can make the loveliest lavender or the most perfect teal. Totally customizable colors!

My son decided to experiment with his own color combos. Totally unique and lovely.

Happy Easter!
