Favorite Super Bowl Recipes

Football recipes

One of my favorite eating days of the year is the Super Bowl. Of course it’s an added bonus when one of my favored teams is in contention but either way I look forward to the food. It’s probably the only game of the year where I actually sit down and watch from start to finish. And definitely the only day of the year when I indulge in these delicious treats. It doesn’t matter if we’re watching alone or with friends, there are certain dishes that I only make on this big day. These Super Bowl recipes are guaranteed to pump up your game. N0 way am I counting calories today. I usually throw in a veggie tray so that totally overcorrects any gluttony right?

Philly Cheesy Chili Dip

Philly Cheese Chili Dip

My taste buds would be crying every year if I didn’t have my Philly Cheesy Chili Dip. It is at the top of my favorite Super Bowl recipes. So easy, but so delicious. It’s always gone when I make for a crowd. Cream cheese, canned chili, and shredded cheese. Warms your belly and makes your mouth sing! Make sure to have plenty of tortilla chips on hand. I personally like to make mine with neufchatel cheese or Greek yogurt cream cheese and a can of turkey chili with beans. This recipe is totally customizable..

Crock Pot Honey Garlic Lil Smokies

crock pot little smokies

Is it just me or do little cocktail franks go so well with football? Forget the cocktail parties, these were made for the tailgate parties. I love how you dump all the ingredients into the crock put and let them sit warming throughout the game.

Grown Up Cheese Plate

I’m not talking about your average pre-sliced cheese and water crackers. Up your game for the big game with some beautiful sharp cheddar or creamy brie. A great place to find delicious cheese for a good value is Trader Joes. I also always find delicious crackers to pair with the cheeses. Don’t forget to add fruit like grapes, strawberries, and melons. If you throw in some salami, prosciutto, and olives – well you’ve got yourself a fancy charcuterie board.

Ina Garten’s Outrageous Brownies

You always got to have a sweet treat. These are the best brownies I’ve ever made. Period. They are incredibly chocolatey and rich. A little bite goes a long way, unless you’re my husband. This recipe makes a lot of brownies so I usually half it for just my family, If you’re planning on guests, you’ll probably want the full batch.
